More details will be revealed during the Silent Hill transmission.
Silent Hill is a series with a very long history. Konami have been developing these horror titles since the first games release in 1999. However, it has been over ten years since the last official release with Silent Hill: Downpour which was released back in 2012. Of course, in 2014 fans were treated to Hideo Kojima’s P.T, a Silent Hill title that would have featured actor Norman Reedus as the protagonist. This game was cancelled and eventually, Kojima’s relationship with Reedus evolved into the game Death Stranding, following Kojima’s split with Konami.
The future of this famous franchise has been in question ever since, though now, it seems Konami are finally going to lay many of these concerns to rest. A teaser website has sprung up regarding the future of Silent Hill and the official twitter posted this:
The post states that there will be an official reveal for Silent Hill on October 19th with details regarding the future of the franchise. In addition to this, series veteran artist Masahiro Ito posted this on twitter:
Now of course, the original content of the tweet has since been deleted, with only the link remaining. Due to this, it could be ascertained that Ito may be working on the next installment in this beloved series, though this is only conjecture. We shall no doubt find out more for certain at the reveal event on October 19th.
