EA confirmed the release of EA Sports UFC 4 on August 4 and Xbox One, as well as that of Israel Adesanya and Jorge Masvidal, on August 14, 2020. In EA Sports UFC 4 players will go from an inexperienced amateur player to a UFC superstar in the new career mode, experience “the roots of sports fighting in two entirely new environments.”
UFC 4 promises more realistic combat with “fluid clinch-to-strike combinations that deliver dynamic stand-up gameplays and reworked down and ground mechanics, in order to ensure greater control in key battle phases.”
The Backyard and Kumite are the new environments listed. The Backyard was intended to replace the sites of some of the famous fighters, and Kumite paid homage to the old MMA love as an underground temple that was built to “impose on any challenger the supremacy of their fighting discipline.”Those who have previously ordered EA Sports UFC4 will be able to play as two of the biggest stars of boxing, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
It is not yet clear if EA Sports UFC 4 is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, but EA Access is available.
