It has been three years since the last game, and after all that wait, you wonder if the next game will turn out as good or, better yet, superior to the predecessor. Now, you do not have to wait any longer because Forza Horizon 5 has finally arrived and is better than ever. This game possesses unlimited enjoyment, and this is very rare to see in games, especially in a racing game. If you are an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you can download this game for free and try it out to see whether it is good. But because this game is fantastic, this deal is an absolute steal.
When it comes to playing Forza Horizon 5, this great game allows you to participate in many different races, and there is a wide variety of cars to choose from for those races. Plus, you embark on an epic journey with other people and take on many different tasks that don’t necessarily involve racing, adding much more enjoyment to the game. Whether running errands for a friend or taking on other challenges, this game provides so much coolness for any type of gamer, not necessarily racing gaming fans.
Forza Horizon 5 is a racing title with Playground Games as the developer and Xbox Games Studios as the publisher. It was released on November 5, 2021. The game is available on platforms Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, Xbox Series X, and S. The story mode is unbelievably good. You befriend other fantastic characters and get to unlock and buy so many cool-looking vehicles. Some look so good that you would feel motivated to grind out races to gain money to unlock certain cars. Some are very expensive and will take much more time to get than others, but that’s what makes the game so fun.
As this installment is the first to be on a current-gen console, you can see the significant improvements made, such as the gameplay at its best. At the start, you can create your racer and give them their identity. One thing that needs to change is the selection of pronouns as an identity. You are forced to choose one, which should be a choice of whether a player wants to be identified as a pronoun.
This is probably the most fluid racing game I have witnessed. The mechanics are top-notch, and it looks great on a 60 frames per second gaming monitor. You get to enjoy yourself while competing against the best racers in the game, not to mention the range of incredible challenges you can complete.
One thing that doesn’t get a lot of praise is the track lines that inform you of where to steer, and when to slow down, brake, and so on. This is very beneficial to novice racers, who need the assistance of what part of the track to steer on, which ultimately helps you win the race, or at least come close to winning it.
Also, I enjoy driving from different views, such as first-person mode. Each of their own, but some people might prefer using a steering wheel rather than a controller, and that is another excellent but classic feature that makes you glad that it is still around in modern-day racing games.
Another great thing about this stellar title is that you can always bank on the heavy list of vehicles to choose from. So many attractive vehicles persuade you to want to drive them, and also the incredible areas on the map that fit certain vehicles. Whether they are modern or classic cars, you will still enjoy using them and test-driving them to determine whether they are worthy of contention for specific tournaments.
The visuals are simply beautiful. Although the setting is fictional in Mexico, you cannot help but fall in love with the views. It is gorgeous from every angle, especially when it is raining at night and in different weather like rain. To add to the beautiful look, if you have an Xbox Series X, you can enjoy it much more on stunning 4K resolution.
Even if you are playing on visually inferior consoles like the Xbox Series S, you still get more than enough stunning-quality graphics. So, it feels like you are not missing much and can still enjoy looking at the map. There are far too many vibrant colors in this game. One would wonder how a fictional area in a country is too gorgeous to look at.
The audio is fantastic. The voice actors have perfected their jobs to their characters, which would make any gamer connect to them differently. I also like to take a strong liking to them all equally. The selection of music is excellent. Most of them are so great to hear that you would just drive around the map to chill to the music. This deserves a lot of praise, giving the game more spark. This area deserves a lot of praise.
Ultimately, Forza Horizon 5 epitomizes what a modern racing game should be about. It delivers endless fun, and that is extremely rare in a game, particularly a racing game. The developer has taken a lot of time into each detail to deliver a game that is close to perfection.
Although, like every other game, there are flaws, with this game, the flaws are unbelievably insignificant for any gamer to care about when the positives astronomically outweigh them. Once more, it is free if you are an Xbox Game Pass subscriber. I strongly recommend you get this if you are looking for a new game to play. You can make a strong case for this game being a contender for Game of the Year.
