Alice Gear Aegis CS – Concerto of Simulatrix provides so much content for you to enjoy.
It’s time to gear up, strap up and get ready to battle. A 3D battle action game with an anime-like theme, and if you’re starving for a fight, then jump on board to Alice Gear Aegis CS – Concerto of Simulatrix, where you get that and then some. Players are taking charge of actresses, and when you’re not fighting Aliens, you are fighting each other for the crown of best actress in space.
The concept is of the 21st century, and the planet earth is being invaded by the vice. And because of this attack, humans were left with no other alternative but to flee from earth abroad shards – spaceships that were built by the fractured moon.
After navigating in space for decades, they had uncovered something that may be utilised by the actresses. This was the weapon the humans brought as an equaliser against the vice and reclaimed the planet earth. Three centuries of peace had elapsed, and a company named Narukozaka Manufacturing hired you as the captain of the informal actress alliance. At this present, AEGiS completed the creation of the CS system and requests that you experiment with it. The structure involves actresses battling against each other.
If you are looking for a delectable story, you won’t find it in Alice Gear Aegis CS: Concerto of Simulatrix – it isn’t one of the brightest sparks, but it almost doesn’t matter when the gameplay, as well as other content, are what makes the game replayable. Also, the story has more than enough to get your attention and is worth your time.
A fine list of up to 22 darling actresses with their own storylines for you to the walkthrough; that contains visual novels with nicely written dialogues, spoken in Japanese with English subtitles and cut scenes. Plus, hefty schedules include singular and team battles. The battles are increasingly tougher and rewarding after victories – receiving exp to rank up and in-game currency. As you progress through their stories, you may gain an understanding of the actresses and their reasons for joining AEGiS.
Although the combat system isn’t phenomenal, Alice Gear Aegis CS – Concerto of Simulatrix does fairly well to encourage players to play smart and strategise, rather than button bashing and hoping for the best – whether it’s in story mode versus team battles, Battle Royale, online or offline. It also helps that the combat controls are almost right away easy to learn, and the tutorials are pretty clear and concise and allows you to get acquainted with the buttons.
The left analogue will make players move. As well as L3 to enable an actress to boost. Albeit, the boost gauge will overheat if you go crazy with the mechanic. Using it sparingly is the best move. The boost gauge is the thin bar located at the bottom middle of the HUD. Fortunately, it regenerates pretty quickly. L2 will ascend your actress and R2 to descend.
All actresses in Alice Gear Aegis CS: Concerto of Simulatrix have their own two exclusive skills. One is the Torso Gear Skill – by clicking L1 and holding L1 to charge it up, and the other is the Leg Gear Skill – for which you will have to click R1 to use. And it’s required that they have to fill their SP in order to use them. Both skills have gauges, and it’s important for players to practice using them patiently because they need to recharge over time. Therefore, again – spamming and hoping for the best won’t work.
The SP are the three bars at the right side of the HUD. They will fill up most times when your opponent receives a hit. Shift your right analogue stick left or right – it consumes one bar and is seemingly only useful for team battles by calling in a teammate to deliver strikes to who you’re currently facing and then fall back.
Direct the right analogue stick upwards for the SP clash, and this takes two bars, and clicking R3 permits the use of your character’s SP skill and will use all three bars. For SP recharge, place the right analogue stick downwards.
It is often said that defence is the best form of offence – unfortunately, Alice Gear Aegis CS: Concerto of Simulatrix doesn’t truly reflect that. Pressing O activates a spherically shaped shield that is supposed to obstruct enemy attacks. And holding O allows you to stay in the shield. However, it doesn’t behave like a shield seeing as you are still receiving damage. You’re better off clicking the X button to dodge attacks, and it proves to be the more significant alternative. However, that also takes up your boost gauge.
Melee weapons are a thing in Alice Gear Aegis CS: Concerto of Simulatrix. They have their own individual stats and are pretty useful – especially when in close proximity to your opponent. Doing so by pressing the triangle button. Or clicking said button repeatedly to perform a combo – most times, doing this knocks enemies down for a few seconds. Also, the melees can impose as much damage as firearms, so you wouldn’t feel like you’re at a disadvantage when using them.
Suppose you are personally finding yourself struggling with the default controls. In that case, fortunately, you can customise the controls by going on options, then ‘controller’, and adjusting them to what makes you feel more comfortable. Furthermore, the training and free battle modes consisting of 1v1, Team Battle, and Battle Royale are great for improving your skills and strategising for all battle modes.
As you are battling, you will acknowledge the uniquely styled visuals all around and the stunning designs of all maps, stages, adorable actresses, their gears, weapons, and more. And the music isn’t too shabby. Speaking of weapons, you are guaranteed a compelling variation of firearms to tickle your fancy. Also, possess their own individual stats, and you can determine which weapon you feel is best for you. Pressing square to fire them and holding it to increase its intensity and power. Also, keep in mind that your ammo will need to recharge.
Team battles are hectic in Alice Gear Aegis CS: Concerto of Simulatrix and more unpredictable than 1v1. And when the mode features 3v3, this is definitely the case. The main idea is to eliminate all opposing team members before the clock runs out to claim victory. However, if you’re unable to do so, the other way to win is determined by the team with the most HP. Also, by clicking on any directional button, you are able to alternate between teammates, and arguably the biggest benefit of doing this is that it gives the previously used actresses time to recover some health.
Battle Royale is pretty fast-paced, with up to six participants (including yourself) going to war. Every man – or in this case, a woman for herself, and the player who collects the most points when the clock runs out is the winner. No need to fret; you are given ample time to wreak havoc. But, if you’d like more time to cause chaos, simply go to ‘Time Limit’ in the Battle Royale settings.
It’s also worth noting that you will see two different coloured arrows that give warnings on both where the enemy is targeting you from and how close you are to receiving a hit. The yellow arrow might hint that an enemy(s) likely has their eyes on you, and the red arrow means to act fast and dodge as quickly as possible to avoid contact. Also, all of the directional buttons enable you to change your focus to different opponents.
Alice Gear Aegis CS: Concerto of Simulatrix’s Online mode involves casual matches, where you will fight players of all ranks, or if you’re on a competitive vibe and wouldn’t mind battling against players similar to your level, then the more difficult ranked matches are for you. And there’s a collection mode where you can view both ranked and casual stats, as well as all actresses’ profiles.
Surely, you want more for your actresses, and after receiving currency, you can purchase an abundance of great things in the shop to achieve this. The costume and accessory shops give your actress your ideal look. Upgrade on weaponry with the Gear shop containing firearms, melees, torso and leg gears.
Moreover, the Skill Module Shop for purchasing upgrades plays a vital role. Ranging from Max HP to boost efficiency to charge speed, there are plenty to purchase that will take your actresses’ abilities and skills to the next level. Also, the fundamentally fascinating customisation mode for you to make an array of alterations to actresses and their gears, skill modules, costumes and accessories.
To finalise, a surprisingly enjoyable 3D battle action game that leaves you coming back for more – and if you’re an anime lover, you will definitely get a kick out of Alice Gear Aegis CS: Concerto of Simulatrix. Although, the defensive side, especially the shield, needs a little work, and the story may not be stellar. Nonetheless, it has more than enough content and then some to keep the target demographic very happy. As a bonus, it doesn’t cost much, so you cannot go wrong.
