How many of you are still without a PlayStation 5? Here is another question, how many of you are regularly checking for stocking availability at local retailers? One more question, how many of you heard about Argos restocking PlayStation 5’s at 3 am in the morning? If yes to at least one of these questions, then what you should feel is enraged right about now. And you wouldn’t be the only ones as UK retailer Argos is facing immense backlash for the poor timing of the next gen console.
The outrage stems from some customers being unable to process the payment, other having the console on their basket for many hours before actually being able to get one, whilst others couldn’t get it simply because they had work in the morning. Argos have issued a statement to address this by saying “We are working very hard across all sites to aid customers in getting what they need at this time. Please continue to check stock availability online by entering your location in the check box, on your chosen item”.
