The Getaway was an absolute masterpiece of a game. This game, as well as the sequel, rivalled Grand Theft Auto games for a few years and it’s safe to say that The Getaway games genuinely brought a challenge to GTA. Imagine much improved and smoother gameplay and vibrant visuals to the game. Well, fans have constantly pleaded for a next gen upgrade on Twitter, and games developer Mike Rouse has responded to the tweet by saying “I’ve heard from my contacts at Sony that something is in the works. What it is though I don’t know”. Mike Rouse was also involved in the development of The Getaway, so the fact that he responded to this tweet is definitely something to be excited about. Even though nothing has been announced yet. With all that being said, if The Getaway was to be remastered, then not only would fans que up for it, but it will bring back that nostalgia.
