PlayStation fans worldwide are seemingly unable to contain their excitement as they try to fathom the fact that the long-awaited next generation console PlayStation 5 will arrive in one week from today. The PlayStation 4 has delivered 7 years of immense entertainment, but the PlayStation 5 will be taking gamers to heights never seen before.
However, due to the second lockdown due to COVID-19, the console will only be sold online. PlayStation 5 had confirmed this on their official twitter page earlier today. They’ve also explained that “In the interest of keeping our gamers, retailers, and staff safe amidst COVID-19, today we are confirming that all day-of launch sales will be conducted through the online stores of our retail partners.”
PlayStation had issued a warning to players who have pre-ordered their console for pick up that they “should still be able to do so at their designated appointment time, under the retailer’s safety protocols.”
