As revealed during the July 2020 Xbox Game Showcase, Tetris Effect is coming to Xbox Series X and Xbox One in the form of Tetris Effect: Connected.
This expanded, a new version of the game will be a limited-time console exclusive for Xbox before releasing for Oculus Quest and PS4 in Summer 2021. It will also come to the Xbox Game Pass.
Tetris Effect: Connected adds brand-new co-op and competitive multiplayer modes that can be played both locally and online. It includes everything from the original Tetris Effect. Connected adds computer-controlled players if you don’t have anyone to play with. Cooperative play goes up to three players while competitive play sees two people go head-to-head. Connected’s competitive play includes both ranked and unranked playlists if you choose to take your skills online. It includes playlists with a new in-game progression tracker allowing you to unlock avatars to represent your exclusive style. If you choose to buy the game on Xbox One, Tetris Effect: Connected will support Smart Delivery. When you play the game on the next-gen console, you will automatically upgrade to an enhanced Xbox Series X version for free.
You don’t even have to pay for Tetris Effect: Connected if you are an Xbox Game Pass subscriber. The game will be available through the service at launch for PC and Xbox consoles. During the Holiday 2020 season, Tetris Effect: Connected is scheduled to release.
