On June 11, Sony Interactive Entertainment hosted an event where they unveiled the Playstation 5 and showed off their condition of games that would be released on the console. With covid-19 cancelling events, the reveals shifted online. Electronic Arts revealed their upcoming releases and disclosed details on new products through their live stream event on Thursday. The event was about their digital version of their live show in Los Angeles held prior to current E3.
Laura Miele, Chief studios officer at EA, gave a short demonstration and an insight about how the future of EA titles will and feel on the Xbox Series x and on Playstation 5. It also featured hugely improved titles such as Need For Speed and the evolution of graphics in Battlefield. Although the Bioware was not specifically stated but some of the game’s footage was shown. Miele also mentioned Bioware creates and imagines worlds where we become the hero of our own story. She also said that they are using next gen technology to make these fantasy worlds our reality. The preview also gave it’s viewers a glimpse of the upcoming fantasy world of Dragon Age 4. For a whole new experience they are creating epic battles at a scale and fidelity. To show the changes of Battlefield over the past few years, a short snippet was presented. After they showed teaser about next gen thorough detailed facial animations and large scale battles. The next Battlefield Game got the tease, though it was hard to find out what the situation was like from the images.
A footage showed a character flying around a city with arms that allows materials to be moved independently. It emphasizes the physics engine that is possible only because of next gen tech. This footage is about a new untitled game from EA Motive which was highlighted and described as innovative and highly ambitious. The EA Play Live event also played host to a wide range of other games such as Star Wars Squadrons and Skate.
