The fourth major update of Iceborne’s content-which pit hunters against the awful elementary black dragon ALATREON, is eventually released by the next Thursday, 9July, and is set to move to Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
In the beginning of the year Alatreon — with his appearance in Iceborne tingling as Capcom pointed out that players would expect a ‘fan favorite”creature to return to their 2020 roadmap — originally made its debut in Monster Hunter 3, and was expected to make its mark on Iceborne, complete with articulate arms and armor, in May.
But Capcom was forced to delay the arrival of the Alatreon because of “coronavirus related production impact” that, it said, would affect the voiceover production too, thus replacing a “simplified recording” of the Italian, Spanish and French voice works of the update. Capcom has not currently given any advice on the future of Iceborne for the fourth big content update next to Alatreon, but this Friday 3 July is all about to change. The sixth developer’s diary will be published on Twitch at 1:00 p.m. (BST 5:00 PDT) and promises to take a closer look at the shop.
