According to a new post on the playstation blog, The Box designed to walk through Dreams’ new VR controls and gets things started with a new introduction called All Abroad VR. Playstation VR (PSVR) support will be coming to game creation platforms Dreams announced by Media Molecule. The game’s free “inside the box” expansion will let players to access kits and new tutorials for creations that have PSVR compatibility. Starting 22nd July, Media Molecule’s impressively flexible Playstation 4 creation tool Dreams will finally be getting PSVR support.
Dreams’ VR support will arrive as part of a free expansion. Which is called “Inside the Box” which includes kits, tutorials and everything users might potentially nedd to both play Dreams experience from within VR and create. The process is designed to be a one-to-one experience to maximize immersion. In the game’s Create mode when it comes to creating their projects, those who have PlayStation Move Controllers will have a simple hands-on experience. As everyone will be receiving the update, players can create VR content without being in PSVR themselves. They will also introduce a suite of accessibility such as static sky, vignette strength and comfort mode. Helpful tags will also be included so that players can differentiate what is not and what is playable in VR. As well as user-generated content ratings to provide feedback on the “comfort rating” of games as VR experiences. The team over at Media Molecule has already created some pre-planned VR content for other players to hopefully be inspired by and try out. One creation is called Box Blaster, a sharpshooting game where players can test their skill and precision. However PSVR experiences can be create outside of VR mode, noted by Media Molecule.
Inside the Box expansion will be available on July 22 and Dreams is currently available exclusively for PlayStation 4.
