A teaser video confirmed the title won’t come soon after the PS5 launch.
Guerilla Games and Sony have been bashful about Horizon Forbidden West’s delivery date other than an obscure 2021 window, however, they’re getting a smidgen more clear. As Kotaku clarifies, Sony has shared a PlayStation 5 dispatch video showing that Forbidden West will show up at some point in the second 50% of 2021.
While that is as yet not unmistakable, it clarifies that you shouldn’t expect the open-world PS5 (and PS4) game to hold you over this spring. It’s a fairly anticipated timetable, as well. Guerilla and Sony just quickly prodded the new Horizon game this June, and have shared restricted subtleties since — it would have been wonderful amazement if a game on the size of Forbidden West was prepared only a couple a very long time after the PS5’s presentation. The PS5 schedule won’t be too vacant in the following a while. The Sony video reaffirmed that Gran Turismo 7 and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart are both due to show up in the principal half of 2021 excepting delays.
The Forbidden West timing is just a reminder that it usually takes a while for consoles to build up libraries of blockbuster games, even if titles started development well in advance.
