Diablo III has begun its Season 21 with new class sets, new rewards for the season journey, and a new theme.
This season’s theme is all about elemental power. Bringing with new season journey awards, new class sets, and skill, and item changes Diablo III’s season 21 content is now live for all platforms and regions. As part of the content update, you’ll be able to get cosmetic rewards previously available from Season 9. But there are a couple of new additions as well.
Season 21’s theme is Trials of Tempests. Your character will occasionally channel an elemental power during the season and you can utilize for a short time. You can rain meteors, crush enemies with snowballs, conjure a flame wall, cast tornadoes and even breathe lightning. You can get the Industrial Portrait frame and Stupendous Contraption pet if you complete the season’s journey in the Trial of Tempests. This is in addition to the Season 9 materials that are also available for completing it. With a two-piece set bonus you will see increased damage with your primary skills during its duration. You’ll also gain four seconds of Momentum when attacking with a primary skill. With a four-piece bonus, casting Strafe will also automatically shoot your last-used primary skill and increased movement speed during Momentum and offer damage reduction.
A new Demon Hunter set is available with the season: Gears of Dreadlands. Necromancers also get a new set which named Masquerade of the Burning Carnival. Its two-piece bonus means Simulacrums no longer take damage. For four-piece sets, all damage is reduced by half when you have a Simulacrum. It has its cooldown refreshed upon your death. Its two-piece bonus means Simulacrums no longer take damage. all damage you do take is split with your Simulacrums.
Blizzard launched the latest patch for Diablo III ahead of its new season on June 23. Players can jump into season 21, called Trials of Tempests on July 3 at 8 p.m. EDT/5 p.m. This new season offers a new elemental power bonus and new armor sets for some classes.
