Gear Software is collective funds for Direct Relief. Which will be provided for PPE to medical workers. Borderlands 3 players can now get an in-game cosmetic in return. But to gain this gift the players have to donate $5 to Direct Relief through the Gearbox merchandise store. Borderlands developer Gearbox Software announced this initiative to help healthcare workers on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic last Monday.
Players can now earn a SHiFT code from Gearbox. This code unlocks a new Antisocial Mask cosmetic for in game characters. To get this code players have to donate $5 to Direct Relief. These are essentially same masks we find on any responsible citizen roaming the roads today. But they will be put on the face of Fl4K, Zane, Amara and Moze instead. Direct Relief doesn’t only provide PPE and medication to healthcare workers but it also helps public health agencies and non-profit organizations across the US and worldwide with the distribution of the equipment. Frontline workers nationwide about the shortages of protective equipment and the desperate need for more supplies. Thomas Tighe of Direct Relief states that they are very grateful to gearbox for this friendship. About this partnership he mentioned that these contributions and this campaign are coming at a critical time it this pandemic. While states are opening they continue to see surges in the spread of coronavirus and there is still a need to provide PPE for healthcare workers. The Antisocial Mask pack comes with two different colors. One is purple and another is army green. These mask won’t make your game easy but they will help will characters o look even more savages and remind your teammates that you all have helped a great cause.
