Small indie team Glumberland launches its creature/farming collecting game Ooblets in Early Access after four years of development.
The hybrid creature and farming game, Ooblets, is now available to play on Xbox One and PC. After four years of development, the game officially launched Wednesday morning in Early Access. A full launch for Ooblets is predicted to be at least a full year away.
Though the game is still unpolished and unfinished, Early Access for Ooblets means that the game is fully playable. Developer Glumberland says that there are still unfinished sections and bugs in the game. So it means that with their feedback, Ooblets Early Access players will very much be helping finish the game. Finishing Ooblets will take over a year, estimated by Glumberland. They also imply that it may take much longer than that. Glumberland plans to finish polish the gameplay, adding lots of content and to finish the game’s story before Ooblets hits its 1.0 release. Content including at least two visible regions, décor, clothing, and furniture, and maybe some new Ooblets too, are planned for the upcoming future. Ooblets will be priced at $24.99 for Early Access. Glumberland is discounting Ooblets 20% to $19.99 for its first week to reward early adopters who are willing to put up with some bugs.
Once the game is finished, the price will also likely rise. On 23rd July, the discount ends. As previously announced, Ooblets is exclusively available through the Epic Games Store on PC.
