The cheer indie game about creatures on a tiny island community, Ooblets, is finally preparing for release. It will be 20% off for the first week on Xbox One and PC. Until July 22, that will knock the usual $25 price down to $20. On July 15, It will enter early access on Xbox One and PC through the Epic Game Store. Last month, during the PC Gaming Show, Glumberland teased the early access. They gave us another pretty trippy and soul-nourishing trailer full of cute creatures dancing and generally having a lovely time.
In Ooblets, you enter and harvest small living crops called (obviously) ooblets in a small island community of Badgetown. Then you raise them and battle with other creatures in dance-combat to raise even more and earn their seeds. You’ll befriend the quirky townspeople and decorate and expand your house as you progress. Imagine a mixture of elements from Harvest Moon, Pokemon and Animal Crossing. At least for a time, the game was overshadowed by a controversy that flared up around its Epic Game Store exclusivity. Developer Glumberland subsequently received thousands of hateful comments and announced the exclusivity deal with some cheeky humor. At PAX West, it was later among epic exclusives at PAX studio. There’s also some weird stuff going down. With questionable forces threatening the secrets and town to uncover. Something to look into between making pals and dancing. you’ll be able to get it on the Epic Games Store (or via Xbox One’s Game Preview) for a 20 percent discount during the first week of launch. Players will hunt down ooblet, customize their chatacter and house, enjoy the utterly alien experience of socialising in-person, grow crops to sell in town, build a team of critters and duke it out in dance-off competitions.
Waiting for Ooblets, a game about raising a team of cute little critters and farming crops for cash is almost over. Glumberland is starting its Early Access journey for Ooblets on PC through the Epic Games Store on July 15, 2020, for $24.99 and Xbox One with the Game Preview program.
