Pirhana Games has delayed the Steam version and DLC to avoid ‘Cyberpunk 2077.’
Piranha Games had intended to deliver an extension for MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries alongside Steam and GOG forms of the game on December tenth. Nonetheless, it’s pushing those back to the spring, in enormous part to keep away from the juggernaut that is Cyberpunk 2077.
CD Projekt Red’s long-awaited RPG is scheduled to at last show up on that date. “Any developer needs their titles to get however much consideration as could be expected, and clearly sharing a delivery date with Cyberpunk was not exactly ideal,” the studio noted in a blog entry. “The very first-moment deals and promoting are so critical to an effective item dispatch, and we accept that rescheduling our delivery date will permit MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries to have the chance and consideration it merits.” MechWarrior 5 appeared as an Epic Games Store select on December tenth a year ago.
There’s a strong explanation that Piranha Games postponed the Heroes of the Inner Sphere DLC and other PC forms to the spring as opposed to bringing those out in January or whatever. The additional time will permit it to port MechWarrior 5 to Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S and dispatch the game at the same time on considerably more stages. That will stamp the first run through a MechWarrior title that has been accessible on consoles since 2004. Pirhana claims it “will be the principal genuine MechWarrior experience ever on a support.”
The developer also plans to make improvements and quality-of-life changes to the base game. The delay won’t impact work on MechWarrior Online, thankfully.
