The Carrion finally announced to comes out 23rd July on Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
Carrion is a reverse-horror game by Devolver Digital and Phobia Game Studios. Since it’s an announcement in 2018, gamers have been dying to know when they will be able to get their hands on the game. Now it seems like their waiting will finally end with Devolver Digital revealing the release date today during its Devolver Direct broadcast.
Since Carrion was first launched, it is widely being considered one of the most anticipated horror games of 2020. It’s a horror game where players will take on the role of the monster. The monster itself is an amorphous amalgamation of gnashing teeth, tentacles and eyeballs. Alongside a new trailer during its Devolver Direct broadcast, the publisher announced that players won’t have to wait much longer. Carrion will be available to play on 23rd July for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC. Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, came on the stream to announce that Carrion would be available day one on Xbox Game Pass. This is hardly surprising news considering Devolver and Xbox’s previous partnerships. But the news is welcomed nonetheless. It’s worth noting that the idea of playing as the monster isn’t exactly new territory for horror games while many are excited about Carrion. However, it seems like what Carrion will excel at will be giving players that power fantasy in a single-player setting.
Carrion looks super stylish with its SNES style graphics and it makes sense players gravitated towards it. We are hoping that when the game releases in less than two weeks, it will live up to those expectations. Carrion releases July 23 on Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
