Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm publisher announces plans for the game to release later this year for the Nintendo Switch.
Cornfox & Brothers Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas has already been pretty successful on smartphones and the Switch, and when the developer announced it was creating a sequel, fans were understandably keen.
Oceanhorn is an activity experience arrangement that follows a kid with a blue tunic who ventures to every part of the oceans, investigating prisons and battling beasts. The game has been accessible on Apple Arcade since September 19, 2019, however is presently formally going to the Nintendo Switch in fall 2020. Alongside the declaration, another trailer was delivered to give a brief look into how the game will look and play. The series has its own distinct characteristics that make it stand out though the series gets compared to The Legend of Zelda often. But the familiar style of gameplay has made it fairly popular. Oceanhorn sold over 1 million copies in just a few weeks when it released last year on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This prompted the publisher to make it available on two more platforms afterward. It ended up receiving a major update in the form of the Oceanhorn 2 – Golden Edition, after its sequel released. It isn’t clear yet if this additional content will be part of the Switch version. If nothing else, the Oceanhorn series will tide over fans who are waiting for the next Zelda title to release — namely Breath of the Wild 2. Nintendo has been holding details back on the anticipated sequel, but more information could be released during the upcoming August Direct.
There are a lot of speculations and theories about the game, but judging by its trailer, there is evidence that Breath of the Wild 2 could be darker in tone than its predecessor. Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm is available now for Apple Arcade and will release in Fall 2020 for the Nintendo Switch.
