A new ranking has been put together by bespoke jewelry brand Taylor & Hart, which values some of the most iconic pieces of jewelry from TV, film, and gaming. Whether she’s battling Bowser, racing down Rainbow Road, or ruling her Kingdom – Princess Peach is probably the best-known female protagonist in the history of gaming and she is seldom seen without her iconic crown.
Not only does Princess Peach single-handedly rule the entire Mushroom Kingdom, but she also bears the weight of a crown that would be worth more than $300m in the real world – making her one of the wealthiest video game characters to ever exist.
Kate Earlam-Charnley, Design Director at Taylor & Hart, estimates the crown to be worth approximately $330,802,800 and says:
‘What could be more fitting for royalty than a 175kt peach sapphire flanked by two Paraiba tourmalines of similar size and karat. The value of these, combined with an estimated $52,000 just for the metal to hold them, would easily bring the total value to nine figures!’
Other items in the ranking by Taylor & Hart – in which they value some of pop culture’s most iconic pieces of jewelry – include the Diamond Sword from Minecraft, worth around $229,000, and Bella Goth’s necklace from The Sims which would bring in $111,000.
