Xbox always has something new—new games, new ways of playing, and new features meant to simplify life.
The most recent Xbox update introduces a range of new features that will significantly enhance your Xbox experience and other devices. Everything—your console, smartphone, everything—is getting improved. Let’s look into what’s latest.
The Xbox mobile software was already quite great; you could set up new consoles, track achievements, share clips, get game drop alerts, and much more. From your phone, however, you will be able to buy games from the Microsoft Store soon, subscribe to a Game Pass, and redeem those amazing Game Pass benefits. It’s absolutely easy, and it will be introduced to everyone soon.
Remember when Xbox began allowing you to stream games to your phone, tablet, PC, or even smart televisions? That was really a game-changer. And if you’re a Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, you have been able to stream hundreds of games already.
Currently, they are adding more to the list—over 100 games you own will be streamable, including such titles as Kill It With Fire, Lost Records: Bloom and Rage, Tape 2, and Wonderstop. Moreover, forthcoming games, including Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree, SpiderHeck, and Undisputed, will be even more compatible with the cloud.
But here’s the real kicker: Game Pass Ultimate subscribers may currently stream games directly to their Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S consoles. Go to “My Games & Apps,” check your whole library, and search for the small cloud symbol next to streamable games. You can even filter only for the cloud-compatible ones. Select a game, press “Play with Cloud Gaming,” and kaboom—you’re ready to roll. Pro advice: Let the game download overnight so you can play it on your console next time. Not too bad, is it?

Finally, remember about Remote Play, which enables you to broadcast games from your Xbox to other devices. Regarding ease of use, all you need to do is activate remote capabilities on your console, sign in to the Xbox app on your phone or computer, and get streaming. Now, however, by adopting a browser-based approach, they are further improving it.
You’re ready to go once you open any compatible device and head to xbox.com/remoteplay. Support for Samsung smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV, and Meta Quest headsets will also be included shortly. Oh, and as a bonus, you can also stream original Xbox and Xbox 360 games, which are now backward compatible.
Game Hubs, this shiny new product, is also available. These centers provide all of the information you require about a game right at your fingertips: player statistics, other players, DLCs, extras, everything. There’s even a huge play button so that you can get right into the game. If you don’t fall for Game Hubs, don’t worry—they can be disabled in Personalization under settings.
Another useful feature to help you manage your console’s storage is available as we discuss customizing. By going into “My Games & Applications,” selecting “Manage,” and choosing “Free Up Space,” you can now delete duplicate games or items you no longer have access to. This is an excellent approach to keep your console running well and free of clutter.
