This upgrade should arrive sometime in Autumn, while Xbox Insiders are already enjoying this second saving improvement.
Xbox continues to fine tune the core experience of the Series X and the Series S. With every update they change minute details that result in massive improvements in ways that people would not have anticipated. Oddly enough, one of the complaints levied at the new consoles are the long boot up times (10 seconds).
While to some this may seem like an extreme complaint. Old school gamers may be astounded, particularly due to the state of booting up times, loading times of merely a decade ago, never mind some of the gamers from twenty to thirty years ago. Regardless, these are the modern complaints that Xbox users have. Now, thanks to information from Josh Munsee, Director at Xbox we know that animators are working on a shorter boot up sequence. He stated this on twitter:
This new animation shortens the boot up from 9 seconds to 4 seconds. What will you be able to accomplish with those precious seconds? Regardless, this while being a small improvement, does help quality of life and means that players can get to their games as soon as possible. This upgrade is slated to arrive sometime in Autumn, while members of the insiders program will already have access to the update.
