Get ready to go on an epic adventure as Visions of Mana launches this August.
The first major entry in the iconic Mana series in over fifteen years, Visions of Mana was revealed during January Xbox Developer Direct when the series creator Koichi Ishii and producer Masaru Oyamada introduced this new entry to us. While the fans of Mystic Quest a spin-off from the Final Fantasy series are waiting for a release date, a new trailer for this upcoming mainline Mana installment was released by Square Enix. The new trailer sneaks peeks at new playable characters and gameplay elements for the action RPG teaser illustrating what fans may expect from the thrilling adventure.
A deeper look at the Elemental Vessels—mystical relics that hold the power of the elements—and other new gameplay features were revealed in the new teaser. During combat, you can switch classes and acquire new skills using the Elemental Vessels. You can experience a versatile and fast-paced fighting style by customizing their squad lineup with each character’s specialized class for each Elemental Vessel. The series’ signature in-battle Ring Menu, which lets you stop the battle and plot their next move, is also back in Visions of Mana.
You can discover elemental triggers all across the colorful environment, and they’re the key to unlocking new areas to explore and hidden objects to discover. Vuscav and Flammie, your trusted traveling partners, can even accompany you on journeys to the sea or cloud. The broad seas and the world map can be traversed with ease by calling upon these reliable allies.
Visions of Mana is set to launch on August 29th and SQUARE ENIX has announced details for Visions of Mana’s digital Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition, both of which can be pre-ordered for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. As a pre-order bonus, players who purchase either the Digital Deluxe Edition or the Standard Edition digitally will get the in-game item “Brave Blade” weapon for Val.
In addition, the digital Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition will come with exclusive in-game items for early adopters who buy them before September 30, 2024: a “Guardian Garment” outfit for Val and a “Starter Pack,” a collection of items that grants a temporary boost to experience points and lucre earnings.
