The new White Day 2: A Flower That Tells Lies teaser trailer shares new screenshots of the upcoming horror title.
A brand-new trailer for White Day 2: A Flower That Tells Lies has been released. This long-awaited sequel was originally announced back in 2021 and serves as the sequel to the 2001 Japanese horror game White Day: A Labyrinth Called School.
Much like the original, which was remade in 2015, White Day 2: A Flower That Tells Lies is a remake of the game’s original sequel White Day 2: Swan Song, which serves as a prequel to the first game’s story. This remake adds graphical improvements, new story content, as well as adding cut content that didn’t make it into the original sequel.
The first trailer for White Day 2: A Flower That Tells Lies was dropped in March 2021 and acted as the announcement for the sequel. However, the developers, Rootnstudio, haven’t given us much information about the game until now. In the trailer we are shown some gameplay, as well as some of the various puzzles we can expect to encounter within the game. Players who played the first game may recognize a few familiar faces and locations from the first game in the trailer.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the game’s title, White Day is a holiday celebrated in Japan on 14 March, a month after Valentine’s Day, and is a time for men to give women tokens of affection such as chocolates and other sweet confectioneries. It’s also meant to be a chance for men to confess their feelings to their crushes. In the first game, we play as Lee Hui-min who sneaks into Yeondu High School on the eve of White Day to leave a gift for his crush, but strange things soon begin to occur and he realizes that he is not alone and that there are ghosts that haunt the school.
Hopefully, the sequel will deliver an experience that is even more haunting than the first. While there is no release date yet, fans of the horror title should stay tuned to GamesCreed for the latest news and announcements.
