For those unfamiliar with The Sims 4’s vernacular, Game Packs and Kits are variants of DLC continuously added to the game.
EA and Maxis can’t seem to get enough of The Sims 4 to an incredibly mixed response from the many fans who have poured so much love into this incredible franchise. Some fans wish for support on The Sims 4 to end, while many other fans believe that the game is still ‘unfinished’ and needs more work before the developers should move on.
The Sim’s official Twitter account seemingly intentionally dropped a very vague teaser that seemed to unendingly cause Sims fans to drool at the prospect of what the teaser could mean. Here is the teaser they posted below:
The teaser is incredibly vague and shows off… literally nothing. Imagine the insanity that erupted within the fandom as hordes of fans attempted to dissect and figure out what this vague teaser could mean.
Remarkably, EA and Maxis still managed to surprise people. In their post the next day, they confirmed that coming in May/June 2022, The Sims 4 will be getting another game pack along with two kits. The official tweet is below:
The reaction was mixed, to say the least, as some fans expressed their innate joy and passion for the franchise. Some were excitedly dissecting the trailer, noting that many of the backgrounds seen in it are not from any of the current worlds in The Sims 4.
Others were frustrated at the announcement and claimed it was somewhat underwhelming. Fans have already expressed their disinterest in the ‘Kits’ titles, as they seem to not have enough content to warrant the price in many Sim’s fans’ eyes.
