Last year, Boss Team and Saber Interactive revealed that Evil Dead: The Game will be released in 2021, with Bruce Campbell recreating his iconic film role.
The developers have now posted an update with a firm delivery date: February 2022. This will allow the devs more time to add a single-player mode. The company stated that the delay was necessary to “give the team some more time for polish and to guarantee this is the ultimate Evil Dead experience you’ve all been waiting for.”
As we saw in the December debut trailer, Campbell’s Ash, along with Kelly and the rest of the cast, must band together to combat a horde of Deadites headed by a strong demon. Consider it an asymmetrical Dead by Daylight title with a chainsaw hand and Bruce Campbell’s witty catchphrases. It also has a heavy dose of nostalgia, with well-known characters, settings, and lots of gore in the shape of blood-soaked undead. “For additional information regarding new character updates, pre-order availability, and the upcoming gameplay video with Bruce Campbell,” they recommended on their Twitter page.
According to the developer’s website, Evil Dead: The Game will have “multiplayer co-op and PvP on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.”
