Diablo Immortal is a small-screen game, but that doesn’t imply it’s a little accomplishment.
Blizzard’s mobile action RPG is in desperate need of some polish. For this reason, Activision Blizzard has postponed Diablo Immortal’s release until early 2022. According to Blizzard, more work is needed to fine-tune PvP content, improve PvE experiences, and incorporate additional accessibility choices. Though the action RPG was scheduled to be released this year for iOS and Android smartphones.
Blizzard goes on to say that it will work on introducing PvE Raids, modifying Bounties, and making Challenge Rifts more interesting, among other things. Blizzard will focus on enhancing matching, earning ranks, class balance, time to kill, and other aspects of the Battleground system and sprucing up the Cycle of Strife endgame content. This is on top of a slew of adjustments to advancement and XP limits. When it comes to getting Diablo Immortal to work with gamepads, it appears that devs are still in the early stages. Blizzard is now preoccupied with other matters. Activision Blizzard is being sued by California for sexual harassment and gender discrimination, and Blizzard president J. Allen Brack resigned today after claiming that he ignored workplace abuse for years. A second complaint was filed today by Activision Blizzard stockholders, alleging that the firm neglected to disclose potential regulatory concerns linked to its discriminatory, frat-house culture.
Jesse Meschuk, Blizzard’s head of HR, also left the company this week.
