PowerWash Simulator’s Final Fantasy 7 DLC officially has a release date and will feature the iconic Hardy Daytona
An official release date of the Final Fantasy 7 DLC for one of Square Enix‘s most surprising hits PowerWash Simulator has been announced. This will be launching on 2 March, as a free expansion for owners of the base game. This DLC will act as a showcase of Final Fantasy 7’s most iconic vehicles and weapons.
The DLC will include a whole bunch of rewashable for fans of the quirky clean sim. The popularity of PowerWash Simulator came as quite a surprise as Square Enix is mainly known for titles such as Final Fantasy and recently, Forspoken. However, Square Enix isn’t shy of small odd projects and it seems that PowerWash Simulator was a great investment for the company.
The Final Fantasy 7 DLC was first announced in January 2023. At the time there was no release date given but the developer FuturLab has announced via a tweet, parodying the cover art of original Final Fantasy 7 box art, that the Midgar Special Pack would be a free expansion that will release across all platforms on the 2 March 2023 9 AM PST / 12 PM EST / 5 PM GMT.
This isn’t PowerWash Simulator’s first free DLC. Something similar happened for the game’s Tomb Raider DLC. This time around the DLC features a few notable locations from the Final Fantasy 7 world, such as the Mako Reactor and Seventh Heaven bar. Players will also be able to clean some of the game’s iconic vehicles such as the Shinra Hauler and Hardy Daytona motorcycle.
Considering how successful PowerWash Simulator has been for Square Enix we can probably expect the Midgar Special Pack to bring even more for the company. If the DLC proves to be profitable we can probably expect more batches of free DLC.
