Sonic is an iconic character with a range of games and now even movies, has collaborated with Lego like so many other iconic games and movie characters. Promoting the Sonic and Lego collaboration in a new video full of inside jokes for the fans and makes fun of some of the more eccentric types of fans in the community.
The video shows the camera keeps cutting to a fake livestream chat which was full of Sonic fans, referencing their messages that range from the dissatisfaction with the game to the desire for a Big the Cat body pillow and fans of the iconic character were quick to spot the messages as they were hardly hidden away. Being in plain sight, fans could see the official Sonic Account making fun of the various characters which make up the player base, including fans who like to flex their knowledge on the series and those who are just there because of their favorite characters.
Being in the defense of the community, Sega eggs fans on with the title of its upcoming game: Sonic x Shadow Generations. With no other way to interpret it, fans got fast to work with getting the game tagged on Steam as an LGBTQ+ game. Thankfully, many fans have gotten quite good at making fun of themselves, which in short means that fans are taking this video in a funny and good stride.
Recently though, fans were dunking on themselves over the excitement of watching the character, Maria, kick the bucket in the next Sonic movie, being very much aware of how the fan base looks to the outside world for those who aren’t exactly complete fans.
Either way, fans of the Sonic series have much to be excited about with the upcoming game and the fun of the video which to most, would probably be offensive, but not the loyal fans of the series who found it more funny than offensive.
