The release date of the story-driven stealth adventure has been announced by Daedalic Entertainment and NACON. LOTR: Gollum, Daedalic’s take on one of the most recognizable characters in fantasy history, debuts on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox One on September 1, 2022. Later this year, the Nintendo Switch version is expected to be released. Take a look at the new trailer.
“The Lord of the Rings: Gollum,” based on Tolkien’s epic trilogy of novels, chronicles the opening chapter of The Fellowship of the Ring from Gollum’s perspective. He resolves to leave the Misty Mountains after losing his prized ring to Bilbo Baggins and embarks on a dangerous adventure that takes him from Barad-dûr to Mirkwood. Gollum must use all of his wits and skill to survive the perils of the Middle-perilous earth’s voyage. Also, he has to cope with himself as a Hobbit-self – Sméagol can assume control if the players want, or Gollum can have the last say in meaningful choices. He also meets characters from the novels and a few more he hasn’t seen before on this journey.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be released by Daedalic Entertainment and NACON as a joint venture on September 1, 2022 and the game will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
