New Descendant Keelan, Ultimate Sharen, Fellow, Story Quest, Dungeon – Void Vessel, and More Revealed in The First Descendant Season 2: Void Chaser.
NEXON Games is on a roll with their free-to-play looter-shooter, The First Descendant. After the successful completion of Season 1: Invasion, they announced Season Two with new Descendants, a friendly dog called Fellow, a new dungeon, and a few more upgrades. As with the base game, Season 2: Void Chaser adds more to this free-to-play looter-shooter.
In The First Descendant Season 2: Void Chaser, the Descendants, on their quest to find the “Iron Heart,” pursue strange signals emanating from the Deep Void as the events of Albion play out. The Void Vessel is to be explored by Keelan of the H.O.U.N.D. recon unit, as the threats posed by the deserted Vulgus ships and supplies keep growing.
The First Descendant Season 2: Void Chaser Includes:
New Descendants: Keelan and Ines Raya
In Season 2: Void Chaser, Keelan and Ines Raya are both entering the war for Albion as members of H.O.U.N.D, a specialized reconnaissance team for Void Vessel operations. At the premiere of Season 2, Keelan will be available. He can poison enemies and use dash skills that slice through their defenses in rapid succession. After the season update, the new female Descendant, Ines Raya, will make her story debut, and players will be able to control her starting in January 2025.
New Dungeon
A new dungeon called “Void Vessel” has been found in the depths of the Void. The ship’s identity is unknown. The new dungeon features Dread Armor, a terrifying boss. It is not just massive in stature, but its weapons upgrade with each phase, progressing from a pistol and shield to dual melee weapons and then dual handguns. You can play the Void Vessel on either the Normal or Hard difficulty settings. If you beat Dread Armor, you’ll get Keelan and a new friend named Fellow.
New Arche Fellow
The genetic material of the Void Vessel has been used to restore a familiar lifeform from the ancient Ancestors, and this being is known as a New Arche Fellow. The Shepherd Fellow of this season is adaptable, ready for pets at all times, and provides a number of combat aids.
New Sharen Story Quest
A new set of story quests involving Sharen and her archenemy will become available in Season 2: Void Chaser once you have become Arche-driven bodies and have failed to eliminate the cyborg Vulgus.
New Ultimate Sharen
Ultimate Sharen’s Area Suppression ability throws knives in a circle around the target, dealing a lot of damage. The Caught in an Ambush ability speeds up movement, shortens skill cooldowns, and turns on stealth again when an enemy is killed. With her new ability to escape traps in stealth mode, Ultimate Sharen is an ideal covert for the Void Vessel if you want to avoid opponent detection.
“Void Abyss” Intercept Battle
A new intercept fight called “Void Abyss” will emerge in Season 2: Void Chaser, and it’s the descendants’ greatest test so far in taking on gigantic enemies. To prevent them from renewing pieces and expanding their abilities, interrupt their Void Reflux Mode. Survivors of this battle will be able to unlock skins inspired by the Colossi.
“Hammer and Anvil” Ultimate Weapon
The new “Hammer and Anvil” ultimate weapon has an anvil mode that allows you to fire instead of an aim function. In Anvil Mode, activated by pressing the aim button, the weapon fires a single explosive projectile that, after a certain amount of time, explodes, scattering pellets in every direction.
“Voltia” Ultimate Weapon
You can use the Voltia Beam Rifle, which is included in the Season 2 Battle Pass and costs nothing, to mimic Bunny’s suit by discharging an electrical current that deals damage to nearby foes in a chain reaction. When it comes to Void Vessel missions, Voltia is invaluable because it breaks Anti-Void shields, which are normally only destructible by talents, unlike any other weapon.
Ultimate Freyna shook The First Descendant Season 1, and fans have been looking forward to the second season. Season 2: Void Chaser will be released to all platforms on December 5, 2024, including Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5|4, and PC via Steam. The Season 2 Trailer Commentary, also released by NEXON, delves further into the new content of Season 2. There is now a special Developer Q&A channel where Descendants can ask questions and get answers on The First Descendant on Discord.
