Apex Legends is a free-to-play game that can be played on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
We get our first glimpse at the updated edition of World’s Edge right away. The battleground has been modified by Respawn to include a molten lava fissure running through the middle of the map. Respawn Entertainment has released a gameplay clip showcasing some of the most major improvements arriving at Apex Legends as part of the forthcoming Emergence season, which begins on August 3rd.
The installation of gondolas at two of the new sites of interest is another important feature of the makeover. The goal, according to Respawn, was to recreate some of the “dynamic gameplay” provided by trains in the original version of the level. According to the studio, this was done in part to make combat engagements in and around the Sorting Facility, one of World’s Edge’s primary areas of attraction, more dynamic, with a stronger emphasis on the close-quarters fight.
We also got to witness the game’s new Rampage LMG in action, which will allow players to smash down doors from afar, in addition to the revamped World’s Edge. Seer, Apex’s newest playable character, makes an appearance at the conclusion of the video. His equipment allows you to follow your opponents’ heartbeats while aiming down the sights of your weaponry. You can launch a swarm of microdrones to your opponent after them. By traveling slowly, players can escape being seen by Seer.
Apex Legends game director Chad Grenier stated during EA’s Play Live event last week that he believes the character would help modify the tempo of battles by requiring players to move more slowly when Seer is on the opposing team.
Take a look at what to anticipate when the new season begins on August 3rd.
