The Bunny Graveyard, the quirky Steam Horror game is getting a release on the Nintendo Switch.
There has been something of a mascot horror surge taking the internet by storm, while most of these are obviously cash-grabs riding the hype, there are few gems here and there. One such gem is The Bunny Graveyard, an adorably terrifying adventure horror game that scored an impressive “Overwhelmingly Positive” Steam rating. Console players will now have a chance to experience this quirky horror game as it has been confirmed it will be getting a Nintendo Switch port in 2024.
The Bunny Graveyard was created by the small indie studio, Pichon Games, which is based in Puerto Rico and its first episode was released in September 2023. The game follows the story of a rabbit who becomes self-aware, players will need to help her uncover the truth of her existence and all the horrors that come with it. The game rose to fame thanks to it frequently breaking the fourth wall, as well as some genuinely disturbing horror moments. Despite being a horror game, the game actually features an old-fashioned Gameboy styled pixel art style.
The news of the Nintendo Switch port was first announced on the official The Bunny Graveyard Twitter account. The studio announced that their first ever game would be receiving a Nintendo Switch port later this year. While an exact release date is yet to be announced, the studio has confirmed that it will be coming “soon”, which could mean a Q1 2024 release window.
Much like other mascot horror titles, The Bunny Graveyard is an episodic adventure, meaning that the Nintendo Switch port will most likely only consist of the first chapter, which is the only complete chapter Pichon has released. Due to its episodic nature, later chapters will only added at a later date.
