The First Closed Alpha Test Announced for Tekken 8 Comes To Europe And North America.
In February, Bandai Namco confirmed that the Tekken 8 closed alpha test will take place in OVE, Japan on 22 April 2023 and will soon after be available in other parts of the world, such as North America and Europe. The Tekken 7 EVO Japan 2023 finals were held on April 2 and was a riveting match between the two competitors Arslan “Ash” and South Korea’s Meo-IL, with a fast-paced calculating back and forth match, with a phenomenal display of skills and time spent mastering the Tekken game series.
Tekken 8’s Michael Murray and Katsuhiro Harada talk about new-gen collaborations and Heihachi in they’re up and coming Tekken 8 arcade-style fighting game. Bandai Namco is going all out for the production of Tekken 8 since they’re equipped with a bigger budget than with previously released entries. As with most of the Tekken games, each new entry into the series is given a bigger budget to work with, leaving fans with ever-increasing expectations.
Alongside the new budget, Tekken 8 confirms the return of fan-favorite characters in the franchise while also debuting brand-new fashion. The returning characters feature characters like Paul Phoenix, Jack-8, and Wrestling Luchador King. Aside from the previously mentioned characters, the new trailers focused on the character Ling Xiaoyu, who is voiced by Japanese singer-songwriter, actress, and voice actress, Maaya Sakamoto. Maaya Sakamoto has been the voice of Ling Xiaoyu since Tekken: Blood Vengeance, which released back in 2011, with the exception of Tekken 3D where she became one of the regular veterans of the franchise along with her friend and potential love interest, Jin Kazama.
The fighting games of the world, especially the world of Tekken carry the weight of the world in expectations from the fans, by maintaining its complex appeal for hardcore Esports Fighters on the one hand. Meanwhile, on the other hand, the Tekken series still remains approachable to players of any calibre who are returning to the franchise for the next release, or new players who are trying their hand at Tekken.
As for Tekken 8’s story, the characters and trailers might imply that Heihachi Mishima, a main character in the development of the story in the Tekken franchise might not be dead. This suggests there might be more in store for the upcoming release of Tekken 8.
The first of the two alpha test runs will go live on 22 April 2023 and be held in Lyon, France.
