Master of the Capoeira, Eddy Gordo, is confirmed to be in the upcoming Tekken 8. But there’s a catch.
Tekken 8 is right around the corner, and you won’t believe that there is indeed more news surrounding the upcoming Tekken game. We have gotten confirmation for Tekken 8’s roster, and you’d think they’d be done announcing characters, but nope. There are still more. After the total roster was confirmed, many were wondering if the iconic Capoeira fighting character Eddy Gordo would ever make it to the upcoming Tekken title. And after today, your query has been answered.
A brand-new leak has surfaced, and it’s seemingly confirmed that he will indeed be in Tekken 8, but here’s the thing, you’re going to have to wait until spring 2024 to be able to play as him. See, he is going to be the first DLC character to be released for season 1’s seasonal content. Now, the Eddy Gordo leak has gotten the community talking not just because of him being leaked but mainly because of the character’s hairstyle.
If you were to see the image for yourself, you’d see that he is among the many black characters to rock the Erik Killmonger dreadlock drop fade hairstyle in recent years; fans are now getting tired of it and are pleading with Namco to change it. What do you think, do you like Eddy’s new hairstyle, or do you think he should go back to his old one? Also, who do you think will be the next three characters to be released this year for Tekken 8?
We’re still waiting for confirmation of the next characters for year 1’s summer, autumn, and winter release. When they’ll let us know is anyone’s guess. But as of now. Knowing that Eddie Gordo will be in Tekken 8 is great news, and it’s fair to say that we cannot wait for him to arrive. But for now, we have until January 26, 2024, to enjoy Tekken 8’s large core roster. And, of course, make do with the Tekken 8 demo.
