Recent shipment data leaks hint at an early Nintendo Switch 2 launch.
The Nintendo Switch 2 has created excitement as new shipment details reveal that the system may be released earlier than expected. Reports suggest that about 400,000 devices were being transported to North America in January, hinting at an early summer release.
According to a user monitoring foreign shipments on the Famiboards site, HVBG, Nintendo’s Vietnamese manufacturing partner, has already shipped 383,000 Switch 2 units to the United States and Canada. This number represents the first wave of shipments, and many more are expected in the near months.
At this rate, Nintendo may have over two million consoles ready by May, which would confirm rumors that the Switch 2 may launch in early summer. This is based on remarks made by Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa in the past on the company’s efforts to reduce scalping issues by ensuring plenty of stock at launch.

According to experts, Nintendo is getting ready for a huge launch, with an estimated 6 million units sold in the first quarter of the console’s first appearance. Nintendo appears committed to avoiding the supply problems that hampered previous essential console debuts in recent years, even if demand will still be high and some stock shortages are unavoidable.
Given that shipments are already well underway, an official announcement may not be far off. The Nintendo Switch 2 may arrive in shops sooner than you can imagine if you’ve been waiting to upgrade.
