Free access to the Street Fighter 6 beta this weekend.
This is a special time to be a Street Fighter fan. No, this isn’t because Street Fighter 6 has been released. You’re going to have to wait a couple more weeks for that one; June 2, to be exact. But it’s because players can now play the open beta, and you are given access to more of Street Fighter 6’s content. It was announced over a week ago, and it got everybody excited.
If you remember, back in October and December of 2022, there were two betas that commenced, and the only way to get access to them was by lottery. But now, it is free to everyone – well, sort of.
The beta is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S and PC. Unfortunately, PlayStation 4 users will not have the privilege of the beta and will have to stick with the demo until launch. But the ones who do will have a great weekend to enjoy the Street Fighter 6 beta. Now, here are some details you need to pay attention to. You are getting the exact content that those that played the second beta.
That means you will get to play online matches, get more features from the Fighting Ground mode, and of course, play with more characters instead of just Ryu and Luke. Furthermore, you’ll get to test out Street Fighter 6’s Battle Hub mode, where you take your custom character and communicate with other players, challenge them, play so custom Capcom titles and more. To get full details of what will be in the beta, you can read about it in our Street Fighter 6 open beta confirmation article.
Street Fighter 6 beta will run from May 19-May 21. You are not required to have an Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus membership if you wish to play online. After doing so, you’ll need to link the ID to the platform you wish to play the beta on. After you’re done, download the Street Fighter 6 beta from the official website and you’re all set.
