Spyro and Crash are reunited in a skirmish over land in Crash Team Rumble, they might be frenemies if you want them to.
There is an ongoing friendship between the two characters like no other. Well, in terms of longevity and strong bonds, Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon have been friends for a very long time. This friendship comes from all the way from the original PlayStation era when both Naughty Dog and Insomniac Games kept including their friends’ mascots in their titles.
These two mascots had their own game on Gameboy Advance sometime around 2001, and Spyro appeared as a guest on certain Crash Bandicoot games. It is safe to say, that one of the new occurrences is about to happen as Spyro the Dragon marches into the battlefield in Crash Team Rumble. You might ask what is Crash Team Rumble, and we honestly do not blame you for it.
The most recent title for the Crash Bandicoot series, Crash Team Rumble, came out last summer and was made for Toys for Bob. This title is heavily multiplayer-oriented and focuses on the part aspect of it, more than being a serious competitive game. The title plays like a capture-the-point, and team play is the most important bit people must keep track of. There are items laid around and teams of four race against each other to capture specific places in the map in order to win.
For an odd reason, the game went under the radar, despite being successful. Most people still think Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time to be the last proper game in the series, but Crash Team Rumble also provides solid gameplay that keeps players hooked up.
The third season of the game will arrive around early December and Spyro the Dragon will be added as a playable character. We are not sure if his playstyle will be copied from another character or has unique playstyles to offer. Despite all the current low interest and still being under the radar state, seeing Spyro reunite with an old mate once again brings tears to the eye.
