Space Prison brings both tactical and turn-based combat to this social survival game.
Polish indie games developer, Wooden Alien are excited to announce, as of the 4th of April 2023, that their tactical turn-based survival brawler, Space Prison is now in development.
Space Prison takes place in one of the darkest holes in the universe, stuck in an intergalactic maximum security prison. An experimental entity gathers both the guilty and the innocent under the jurisdiction of this artificial system. You will need to craft contraband and upgrade your prison cell to survive. But other criminals are not the only thing that lurks in the dark, uncovering the dark secrets within to escape, one way or another.
In Space Prison, you’ll have to keep an eye out for scrap and other items that will be useful to craft contraband such as weapons or tools that you or your allies may need, but be careful you don’t want to be caught with the contraband.
Space prison is about fighting for survival in brutal turn-based brawls, where every step can be your last as you climb the top of the social ladder, fighting for every scrap of respect that can be earned. You will need to find allies to survive or join one of the two gangs, either the Gravity Fist or Hypernova.
The gangs each have their own agendas and unique fighting styles, so choose wisely. The social dynamics are important to keep ahead of as your choices impact the characters you recruit, so don’t make enemies of those who would be more useful as an ally.
Of course, no survival game will be complete without a faithful companion. In Space Prison, there is no better companion than your pet rat. Gather enough snacks for your furry friends and soon enough, you may have enough rats for an army, but that’s all up to you.
Space Prison will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox Onem but there is currently no release date yet.
