Lost Soul Aside no longer has the requirement for a PSN account on Steam.
Last year, Sony managed to ruin its image in the community by choking on an oddity: in order to play Helldivers 2, you need a PSN account. The issue lies with you if, for some reason, you live in one of the 118 countries that do not have access to the PlayStation Network.
Sony later confirmed that, no matter the case, the PSN requirement to play PlayStation Studios-published games on Steam will stay unchanged. Although it was expected, there is now some optimism along with the disappointment. Sony will release Lost Soul Aside for PlayStation 5 and PC.
UltiZeroGames is currently developing the game, which was initially revealed as an indie game around eight years ago and later adopted by Sony’s China Hero Project. Aside from Steam, the Lost Soul Aside website no longer has the warning that attaching your PSN account was required. This modification was made one day after the launch of the most recent gameplay trailer. This seemed strange because Sony wanted to target Steam users to increase PSN accounts.
Given how few PC games published by Sony have had the same privilege, the absence of the need for a PSN account could be unintentional. Nevertheless, there is optimism that Lost Soul Aside might serve as a pilot project for a future when Sony PC games can be played without the need for unwanted PSN requirements.
Lost Soul Aside is among the most anticipated action-adventure games. Its fighting mechanism has drawn significant parallels with Devil May Cry. For those who have been waiting patiently to play the game, the wait may finally be over. UltiZeroGames is certain that the game will be released in 2025.
