Here’s our first look at Son and Bone, the upcoming first-person dinosaur shooter exclusive to the PS5.
You know what gaming needs more of? Dinosaurs! There’s so much potential for these ancient creatures and we’re glad to see it being utilized in the action-packed FPS, Son and Bone, a new exclusive title for the PlayStation 5. Players will play as an American sheriff who finds himself face to face with some of the fiercest animals to have ever roamed the earth. There isn’t much known about the title as we have yet to receive a release date, but we’ll probably hear more throughout 2024.
Dinosaurs are one of those things that sparks human curiosity, these colossal beasts once dominated the planet and then one day, they were gone, leaving only fossilized remains behind. It’s probably due to their mystery and allure that there has been an increase in demand for games featuring these fantastic creatures and it’s good to see titles such as Son and Bone, which approach the inclusion of dinosaurs in a way we haven’t seen for quite some time.
Most titles that feature the beasts from our past nowadays are built around survival, namely games like Ark: Survival Evolved or simulation titles that put us in the role of the dinosaurs. We haven’t had a man VS dinosaur game in such a long time and TeamKill Media seems to be gladly filling in that gap.
We got our first look at Son and Bone thanks to a trailer shared on the official PlayStation YouTube channel. The trailer showed over two minutes of action-packed dinosaur shooting mayhem. The game’s description reads “When a local farm in Patchwork, MT is attacked by a group of notorious bandits, Sheriff Sam Judge sets out to bring them to justice by any means necessary and save the hostage they have taken.
But on his journey … Sam finds himself transported to another world overrun with prehistoric creatures, dinosaurs and now must fight for his life to make it back to earth.” Son and Bone sure seems like it will be a blast.
