Sniper Elite 5 releases a new trailer to show its new features and gameplay details.
Publisher and developer Rebellion has published a new trailer for Sniper Elite 5, which displays the game’s features and game modes, including multiplayer and Invasion Mode, for the first time in a Sniper Elite game. Watch the new Features Trailer. Ahead of its May 26th release, Sniper Elite 5 will be available to play on all major consoles and PC platforms, including Xbox Game Pass.
Its campaign takes place in France in 1944 and revolves around D-Day. Operation Kraken, a Nazi scheme uncovered by elite marksman Karl Fairburne, can potentially swing the tide of the war back in the Nazis’ favor. Karl needs to utilize all of his abilities to bring down Operation Kraken and its mastermind, Abelard Möller, from the shadows. Two players can band up and take on the Axis forces and hunt down Möller throughout the campaign.
A new Invasion Mode lets an opponent player join your game and play as an Axis Sniper charged with finding and eliminating Karl. To aid the invading player in their hunt for Karl, the invader might use AI Axis forces. Karl can also obtain information about the intruder and their position by using the phones at the level. Toggle invasion mode on or off in the game’s options menu.
In addition to the storyline, there are many frantic multiplayer combat options. Sniper Elite 5’s multiplayer has four primary game modes, each with multiple customization options that enable players to design their battles. These games support cross-format play.
The Sniper Elite series is long known for its advanced gun mechanics, and this has been enhanced even further with Sniper Elite 5. Sniper Elite 5’s weapons have been meticulously rebuilt using real-world references to provide maximum realism. Each rifle has its distinct feel and attributes for the player.
The series-defining Kill Cam has also been given a boost in importance. Kills with pistols, SMGs, rifles, and takedown kills are now eligible for the Kill Cam. There will be more significant damage as bullets bounce off of the bone, and the player will see it all in even more graphic detail than ever before.
Players can now customize their weapons’ stock, magazines, receivers, barrels, scopes, iron sights, and the materials they’re made of. Individual playstyles and missions are considered, allowing players to tailor their arsenals to their preferences. Discovering secret workbenches throughout the maps is the only way to access the game’s customization choices. Players can then customize their loadout at these benches, allowing them to change their playstyle and approach on the go without having to repeat a mission.
More playstyle possibilities have been opened thanks to new traversal features. It’s up to you to decide whether you want to be a ninja or a brawler when it comes to your approach. Each mission has a replay value enhanced by Karl’s climbing vines, which enable him to visit new regions of the map, offering him devious pathways, great view positions, and access to hidden spots.
May 26, 2022, is the release date for the upcoming Sniper Elite 5, which will be available on Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
