Holmes & Watson are in for a world of chaos in Sherlock Holmes The Awakened.
A brand new trailer for the remake of Sherlock Holmes The Awakened debuted several new stories and characters. Sherlock’s deteriorating mental health as he discovers more secrets about a cult based on Cthulhu has put him in a bind, and he is ready to face the consequences of his actions with the help of his sidekick Watson.
Initially released in 2006, developer Frogwares has extensively described the process that the remake of Sherlock Holmes The Awakened has gone through, from working with a new engine to redesigning entire gameplay segments to suit a new generation of gamers and consoles.
Sherlock is not the world-renowned detective he’s known for yet, and he is still trying to develop his sleuthing skills. Players will get to experience throughout this exciting narrative how hard Holmes will have to fight against the cult and thwart their plans.
The introduction of the famous doctor John Watson gains prominence in this trailer, as last we saw him at the end of Sherlock Holmes Chapter One, when he agreed to become Sherlock’s roommate and thus started their well-known relationship that will undoubtedly be strained in this release.
Frogwares is an independent game studio based in Kyiv, Ukraine, with dozens of Sherlock Holmes games in its library. Sherlock Holmes The Awakened has a release date of April 11 on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One & Nintendo Switch.
