World of Warcraft has just made the first post of 2024 and we finally know when the Seeds of Renewal will happen.
A new year and a brand-new wave of content for World of Warcraft. In its first post of the year, Blizzard has finally announced when players can expect patch 10.2.5, Seeds of Renewal, to go live. The update will serve as the final major update for World of Warcraft: Dragon flight, and despite this, there is plenty in store for players as Seeds of Renewal adds brand-new additional story content to the game as well as new customization options.
When Seeds of Renewal was first announced, this news came exactly one day after World of Warcraft added a new vendor to Valdrakken, named Ms. Xiulan. The purpose of this new Pandarean merchant is to act as a “gold sink” and allows players who have more gold than they know what to with, to spend to their heart’s content until the end of August. Everything that the merchant sells are golden-colored cosmetics and also include the Gilded Scarab mount. Many noticed the similarities between this new merchant and bronze-colored rewards found in the January trading post. Blizzard has yet to say whether this was intentional or not.
Seeds of Renewal is set to go live on 16 January 2024, but shortly after that, players will get to see the next major part of World of Warcraft’s 2024 roadmap. Seeds of Renewal will go live after a bit of server maintenance and will allow players to play through the Dragonflight epilogue quests, such as exploring the Night Elf city of Bel’ameth for a quest that involves the Worgen retaking their lost home. Another addition coming with the update will be the ability for players to take flight on their dragonriding mounts outside of the Dragon Isles. Yes, old continents can now be flown in.
January is certainly shaping up to be an exciting month, not only with the exciting Seeds of Renewal update and Roadmap release but players will still be able to participate in the ongoing Prime Gaming collaboration. It really is a great day to ride a dragon.
