According to the game director Kenji Anabuki, the creators see the potential Scarlet Nexus sequel as more “mature”
The action-RPG Scarlet Nexus has become one of the most successful and warmly received games of 2021 as well as the game of the year in our opinion. Although the new game in this peculiar franchise has not been announced yet, Bandai Namco is already considering the potential expansion of the universe.
The authors of Inverse have spoken with Bandai Namco producer Keita Iizuka and game director Kenji Anabuki about players’ feedback, the success of Scarlet Nexus, and a potential sequel. The developers have confirmed that they are interested in the possible Scarlet Nexus 2. They also would like to see a more “mature” perspective on the superpowers. As Kenji indicated, he wants to show not only the might but also the danger of possession of these powers. He also thinks about how to enhance the approach to the cutscenes which are presented as comics. Such an attitude helps to bring originality, but it is not always convenient.
However, Scarlet Nexus has received rave reviews from both players and journalists. Now the average rating of the game on Metacritic is 80/100. We gave to the game GOTY 2021. But no game cannot dispense with the shortcomings, the majority of which have been fixed. The problem points were the ability to change font size, camera settings, switch on/off aim aid, etc.
Scarlet Nexus is available for purchase on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC..
