Sailors: AoC is a nautical-themed sandbox title hitting Steam in the near-future. Will you make your fortune through noble methods, or does the pirate life call to you?
Sailors: AoC will afford players a rare opportunity. Have you ever wondered what sailing on the open ocean was like in the 1700s? Was it better for pirates? Or for those who swore fealty to their respective government? From the minds of Crimson Lion Entertainment, comes a game where you forge your own path in the era of pirates.
Published jointly by the developers and Monuments Games, the title can tell many stories. No play through will be exactly the same. So it is up to the players how things will unfold. Choose up to three different play styles:
- Pirate – be as fearless as the legends they inspired. Such a life can be extremely lucrative. But be aware that it is also fraught with many dangers. Is a pirate’s life the life for you?
- Merchant – if gaining wealth is your focus, life as a merchant might be your calling. Haggle your way to immense fortune. Challenge other merchants at their own game. But beware, merchant are huge targets for pirates.
- Privateer – perhaps you’d prefer to advance the interests of colonial powers? Fight for the glory of Spain, France, England, and the Netherlands.
Regardless of the path you choose, be sure to mind your crew. Some may fall ill and others might betray you. Do everything in your power to keep them loyal. And be sure to keep your dueling pistol loaded.
