Rust, the film in which Alec Baldwin was involved in an onset tragedy that took the life of cinematographer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, is coming to theaters.
Rust, the Western film starring Alec Baldwin, is slated to be released in May of this year. The film has been in production for a very long time, as in October 2021 the onset tragedy occurred. The trailer was released this week, and the film is set to be in limited theaters and available on video on demand in May.
The movie itself might have many people watching just to see it after everything that happened. Or I guess there could be a sort of boycott of the film and a way to give money to the family of Hannah Gutierrez-Reed.
Of course, the trial of Alec Baldwin was all over the news, just like any other trial involving a celebrity. Now that all of that is over, it seems that the film can finally be released. Baldwin was dismissed from all charges, and the armorer for the film Rust was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
Alec Baldwin himself is having some kind of reinvention for his career. He currently has a reality show that involves his wife’s and his kids’ daily lives. The reality show entails the fallout from the tragedy on the set of the film and the court hearings preceding it.

It might be an attempt to humanize them a little bit more and for him to win back the public. Unfortunately, Alec Baldwin recently had a semi-viral video in which his wife was very frustrated with him at a red-carpet event.
This, paired with reality television, doesn’t seem like the greatest thing for an actor of his caliber. I also think it’s going to be hard for him to find roles in the future, given what happened in the past couple of years.
