Risk of Rain 2’s New Announced Character, the Railgunner, Doesn’t Start With an “S”.
With Risk of Rain 2 having been out on consoles for over at year now, Hopoo Games has clearly been busy with working the game into something even greater. A recent “Dev Thoughts” log has revealed two incredibly exciting things about the upcoming DLC, Survivors of the Void: one of the planned new survivors, and the DLC’s official release date.
To start things off simple, Survivors of the Void’s release date has been revealed as March 1st for Steam players. The DLC’s total price will be $15, but will be on sale for $9.75 for a short while after release.
With respect to the other half of the announcement, the new character has revealed to be a brand new survivor known as the ‘Railgunner’.
The Railgunner will be a long range, precision focused character, who highlights specific weak points on enemies that reward you with massive damage, should you land the shot. The Dev Thoughts log goes into more mechanical specifics as to her specific mechanics, but even just the screenshots given show that the Railgunner will most likely be incredibly fun to play. After all… who doesn’t love wiping bosses off the map in a single shot?
If you want to see everything about the Railgunner in more detail, Hopoo Games has, as usual, made a video to follow along with.
