Krafton’s recent earnings report has revealed the possible release date for Unknown World’s Subnautica 3.
Krafton, the Korean game publisher, may have just revealed when Subnautica 3 is in the works and will most likely be coming out sometime in 2025. This will be the next Subnautica game after the first game’s direct sequel Subnautica: Below Zero.
This is exciting news, especially when you consider how much that Subnautica: Below Zero expanded upon, revealing so much new information about the original game’s universe but sadly left players on a cliffhanger. This did lead to many players to believe that a third game was in the works, this was most likely the case as even the lead artist for the previous games, Liam Tart, hinted that that fans wouldn’t have to wait too long for the next Subnautica. It would now seem that Krafton, the publisher for the two previous Subnautica games may have given us an exact release window for Subnautica 3.
In a recent earnings report, it was revealed during the representation that the company was targeting a 2025 release window for Subnautica 3. Sadly that was all we got as the presentation provided little to nothing more about the adventure survival game. What we do know, thanks to Destructoid, is that it will most likely continue where Below Zero left off, considering the development time.
While we sadly didn’t learn more about Subnautica 3, we did learn that the Korean publisher has more than 32 games in the works, all which they are hoping to release between 2024 to 2026. These include brand new titles such as Black Budget, Gold Rush and Windless. However, it’s very much exciting news for fans of Subnautica and we will most likely hear more about Subnautica 3 sometime next year and who knows where else the series will take us and what other alien worlds will we see in the next game.
