The street date for the new Housemarque game, Returnal, is likely to be leaked before the 2020 Games Awards.
Housemarque’s latest project, Returnal, has revealed its release date ahead of the 2020 Game Awards. Both publishers Sony and Housemarque remain silent on when the adventure will be thankful for the PlayStation 5. However, recent trailers circulating on the PlayStation line of the future suggest that it will launch in mid-2020.
The Housemarque crew is best known for classic twin-stick shooters such as Super Stardust and Dead Nation. Housemarque’s first success on the PlayStation 4 within shoot-scrolling ’em up Resogun mostly put its name and not the map.
But in recent years, the studio has moved away from its arcade roots because the genre is declining. So, the team is already working hard on Returnal, the third sci-fi player announced during Sony’s PS5 unveiling an event that will take on new hardware by storm next spring.
